In case you didn't figure it out already, I haven't been posting as much because I have been working on writing this screenplay. And I guess that's a good thing.
I actually wrote a long post the other night but it kinda made me sound like a nutcase so I didn't publish it. Oh well, no one's reading anyway.
Anyway, the screenplay is going OK. Everything I had written was somehow deleted--apparently the software I use doesn't have an autosave or recovery feature. This is taking much longer than I expected. I guess I was kind of expecting magic elves to write my screenplay for me in my sleep. No such luck. My goal for finishing my first draft was March 1, but I would really like to finish before then. After all, two months to write a rough draft when you're not working is a pretty lax pace--even if I did lose several days worth of work. I can only assume these things go by much quicker after the first. So March 1.
I'm looking for a part time job now, too. I should have one in the next couple weeks. To be honest, I think it would be completely awesome to do a number of different jobs. That would be good for me as a person and as a story teller. It's hard enough to write, having no life experience makes it only harder. Get out and live, I guess.
I was sent this neat article about 11 Famous Law dropouts. Being famous one day would be alright, but I'm not sure about how I feel about being lumped together with Madoff and Bundy.
I still haven't lived up to my promise of giving Michael Cera one last chance. Has anyone seen Youth in Revolt yet? No? Didn't think so.
OK, back to the grind. I'll post more soon enough--you can stop gchatting me that I haven't been posting every day, I know I haven't.
